Starting February 16, 2020 KARI’S LAW & RAY BAUM ACT

100% free of charge

As of February 16, 2020, all school phones must be able to directly dial 9-1-1 without pressing another digit before dialing out and school security and administration must be notified (Kari’s Law). Further, the Ray Baum Act requires telephone systems to provide additional information such as room number & floor number to adequately identify the location of the calling party. This requirement applies to both fixed and mobile phones. Ray Baum must be implemented by January 6, 2022.

Non-Compliance could result in the following:
1. Will endanger students and staff.
2. Open your district huge civil liabilities if a tragedy occurs.  3. Can result in a $10,000 fine and $500 fine per day
